What you’ll do

As an Information Process Planner focused on In-House Logistics you play a crucial role in creating stable and efficient information flows to ensure the flow of materials from the factory gate to receiving until the point of assembly. You will focus on the design, configuration and testing of In-House Logistics systems, in particular SAP. Another important task is to enable our partner departments to operate the systems and provide support in exceptional cases.

  • Develop, together with Scout IT and VW Group IT, the IT Logistic Concept for Production Steering, Material Planning, Inbound, Inhouse and Outbound Logistics operations considering the Brand specificities and VW Group standards
  • Support the IT Department during the system implementation phase. Define requirements and lead the necessary activities within the Logistics Department
  • Define and carry out IT System User Test to prove the Systems functionalities before the planned Go-Live
  • Collaborate with the business areas to establish a Key-User Organization
  • Define User Manual and Emergency Concept for each implemented IT System and qualify own personnel and key users
  • Collaborate with IT Department to establish all levels of System Support Organization in case of system problems
  • Support own process control through planning and implementing KPIs with clear responsibility and coordinate problem solving activities in case of deviance from the defined targets

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

  • 7+ years of professional experience in Logistics or IT Department, ideally in the automotive industry
  • Proven experience in the implementation or maintaining of SAP systems on Logistics Business or IT side
  • Experience in the design of cross- departmental information flows
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in system engineering, information process planning, or related fields
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and endurance
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to find accepted solutions across departments
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Creative, collaborative and open mindset and drive to think out of the box
  • Strong understanding of Production environment and affinity to work with complex IT Systems
