Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and the Audit Committee, the missions of Sanofi Internal Audit and Risk Management (SIA&RM) is to provide independent and objective reasonable assurance regarding the group’s ability to controls its operations according to the Institute of Internal Audit (IIA) international standards. 

SIA&RM helps Sanofi execute its strategy and achieve business objectives by assessing and improving the effectiveness of Sanofi’s governance, risk management, and control processes, and is committed to alerting management on significant risks and monitoring their effective mitigation. 

Organized by functions, the department is established on 4 locations: France (Paris), the US (Boston & Bridgewater), China (Shanghai) and Singapore. 

Main responsibilities: 

The Head of Internal Audit Digital reports to the Head of SIA&RM and oversees the audit activities bringing a systematic and comprehensive approach to assess and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes regarding the digital transformation, applications, IT infrastructures and cyber security matters. 

The core activity encompasses leading the yearly risk stemming from the business environment, process- or people-driven weaknesses identified internally, the transformation of the company to support the design of the audit plan. Thus, while driving its execution, SIARM contributes to protect the company assets and reputation through thoroughly targeted assignments either standalone or integrated within broader business audits. 

While Sanofi is going through a major Digital modernization, the Head of Internal Audit Digital will have to position SIA and Digital Audit has a key player accompanying the change through impactful audits.  In her/his role, she / he will also have to contribute to the digital transformation of the department notably in further responsibly leveraging AI and GENAI. 

• As a member of SIA&RM leadership team, participate in department strategy definition 

• Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management, work collaboratively to plan, manage and deliver against a portfolio of Digital audits, including annual planning, resourcing, risk assessments, and audit scoping 

• Supervise / oversee Digital audit teams to perform planned operational, compliance and integrated-IT audits across different functions and sites; liaise across function with Heads of Audits for the tactical organization and delivery of all integrated activities 

• Ensure audit pre-scoping, preparation and fieldwork, including testing and evidence, is sufficient to support conclusions in accordance with Sanofi Internal Audit and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards. 

• Review draft audit reports to ensure they include clearly written findings, observations and recommendations that effectively communicate identified issues and their related corrective actions to help auditees and senior management strengthen and improve operations; post issuance of final report, support the timely follow-up and review of action plans as needed
