Cybersecurity Service Provider Analyst - Journeyman

CACI is seeking a skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) Analyst at the Journeyman level to support our cybersecurity operations for USSOUTHCOM. This role is responsible for performing day-to-day cybersecurity analysis, monitoring, and incident response activities to ensure the protection of critical networks.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze network traffic, security logs, and alerts to detect and respond to potential security incidents.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses in systems and networks.
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security tools and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM systems.
Participate in incident response activities, including initial triage, analysis, and remediation of security events.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
Collaborate with other IT and security teams to address identified vulnerabilities and improve overall security posture.
Prepare and deliver regular reports on security status, incidents, and trends to team leads and management.
Stay current with emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and defense strategies.
Required Qualifications:
Required Certifications (Must possess one): Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) OR Red Hat Certified Specialist in Security: Linux
Conditional Alternative Certifications (Considered): GIAC Defensible Security Architecture (GDSA) OR Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200) OR (ISC)² Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) OR ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or related IT fields.
Strong understanding of network protocols, security concepts, and common attack vectors.
Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF) and DoD cybersecurity policies.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in DoD or government cybersecurity operations.
Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
Experience with cloud security concepts and technologies.
Must possess an active secret clearance
