Job Highlights:

SSM Health Dean Medical Group, a 500-physician multi-specialty group, is actively recruiting a full-time (1.0 FTE) Cardiology Advanced Practitioner (PA/NP). Ideal candidate will have previous cardiology experience.  This collegial, hard-working group of physicians and advanced practitioners, provides interventional, non-interventional and electrophysiology services. The Cardiology Division is well recognized among their peers for outstanding quality data, excellence in care and service to patients throughout our 18-county service area.

Additional details:

  • Join a collegial, hard-working group of physicians and advanced practitioners.
  • Practice provides interventional, non-invasive and electrophysiology services.
  • Primarily clinic-based role with occasional inpatient responsibilities.
  • Work schedule of 8 hours per day between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
  • Participation in weekend/holiday call rotation which consists of morning rounds.
  • Clinic outreach is required two days per month.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Prefer post-education experience in cardiology
  • Wisconsin registered nurse license and advanced practice nurse licensure or certified physician assistant

Job Summary:

In collaboration with physician(s), demonstrates and provides professional nursing care to specialty patients requiring an advanced level of knowledge and management of their nursing care.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiates and provides medical interventions in response to acute changes in patient conditions.
  • Provides educational services to nursing and ancillary departments and serves as an educational consultant on clinical practice issues.
  • Applies evidence based practices to achieve multidisciplinary collaboration to facilitate continuity of care.
  • Contributes to the satisfaction of the medical staff by collaborating with physicians to deliver best care.
  • Recognizes and utilizes opportunities to act as a change agent by introducing nursing practice innovations.
  • Evaluates nursing practices associated with specialty area, defines needs/problems with patient care and makes constructive suggestions that creates a positive patient outcome.
