The Lab Manager II for Cytiva is responsible for management of our local labs and lab equipment, primarily to enable and optimize our verification and validation testing capabilities. The Lab Manager II is responsible for coordinating equipment calibration programs and equipment procurement, managing vendors, and coordinating with internal stakeholders. Further responsibilities are to champion laboratory orderliness (5S) and lab daily management. The role requires building relationships across functions, maintaining open communication across departments, and willingness to work across the several local sites. 

This position reports to the Global Lab Services Leader, and is part of the Upstream and Fluid Management R&D team located in Marlborough, MA and will be onsite. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery. 

What you will do: 

• Manage, control and issue test equipment inventory, lead calibrated Equipment program and coordinate calibration services. 

• Act as liaison with Preventative Maintenance, Equipment Repair, Vendor Services, Facilities Operations and Site construction projects. 

• Lab organization (e.g., 5S) and daily management owner for lab spaces. 

• Procurement and vendor management lead for lab supplies, test equipment, and 3rd party services. 

• Part of cross functional teams to support projects at global level and lead on local level, and coordinate between R&D, PE, Facilities, Operations and Quality teams.  

Who you are: 

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in an engineering, science or related technical field.
