About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Executive Assistant to support the VP of Infrastructure and 1 Infrastructure Director, working closely with cross-functional partners such as Managers, HR Business Partners and Strategy Operations Leads. This role will be integral to the team's success, and work closely with our leaders to ensure the business runs efficiently. The role will sit primarily remote, with the flexibility to come on-site as needed. What you’ll be doing:

Understand and proactively manage the priorities and objectives of your leader and their teams

Act as gatekeeper, time-advocate, and liaison for all executives you support

Manage an extremely dynamic and constantly evolving calendar and schedule

Partner with Strategy/Operations, Technical Program Management, and Engineering leads to drive operational excellence

Handle multiple requests for Executive’s time, utilizing strong judgment in managing priority of requests

Arrange travel, schedule transit, and make reservations for executives

Design and own preparation and formatting of presentation materials and documents for multiple audiences and stakeholders

Plan, coordinate, facilitate, and lead various meetings, functions, and events including quarterly retreats and team-building offsites

Manage/lead team meetings, team calendars, and team Slack channels

Lead cross-functional alignment within the Cruise organization

Act as a team point person: handle team requests, problem-solve, and assist with keeping the team on-track and organized

Create and maintain communication within the team and broader org

Drive recruitment and hiring in partnership with executive (project management of candidate screening, schedules, process support)

Be a culture-contributor: oversee department culture initiatives, track, highlight, and celebrate important team cultural/career moments. Expand these skills cross-functionally and be an advocate and mentor outside your department.

Create efficiency and balance for your executives and their teams

Develop new processes for growing teams that prepare us for massive scale
What you must have:

BA/BS or equivalent professional experience
-
6+ years of related work experience and deep knowledge within functional area

Extremely strong communication and interpersonal skills

Deep knowledge of Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, etc.) and Slack platforms

Confident self-starter that can take a task and run with it with limited supervision from executive

Excellent organization skills and acute attention to details

Able to anticipate problems and/or needs of your executive and proactively offer solutions and make recommendations

Able to maintain high levels of confidentiality

Creative problem solver able to think outside the box

Exceptional people skills and the ability to navigate various professional dynamics

Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex meetings and designing scalable operating cadences

Availability to perform job duties outside of normal business hours, when necessary

Can balance setting boundaries for leads with being empathetic to the needs of
