The Senior Manager, Enterprise Business Architecture works closely with key partners and the TD Segment Business Architecture groups to help translate business strategy into capabilities, creating actionable Target Operating Models and roadmaps as part of the overall enterprise business architecture framework definition, including which tools the community will use, and how this usage will be governed.
Depth & Scope:
- Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
- Develops and drives migration of Business Architecture to preferred enterprise framework; works with TD's segment businesses to ensure timely adoption, and consistency in implementation and utilization; acts as SME for preferred Business Architecture framework
- Works with key stakeholders to ensure new framework is integrated effectively across the organization
- Stewards TD's segment business strategies by leading the evolution of the capabilities assigned and by acting as source for developing new and innovative set of business capabilities;this includes, recommending sequencing for change and delivery and positioning the assigned capabilities appropriately to business leaders;drives alignment across the enterprise
- Guides practitioners, business and executives in designing target states for achieving strategic business outcomes and identifying business opportunities;monitors and measures achievement of target state outcomes
- Supports enterprise change management and hygiene of framework, tools, target states
- Establishes a culture that values Business Architecture as a discipline; champions TD requirements within the Industry, identifying opportunities to expand and refine the frameworks and tools in the interest of TD
- Contributes to the Business Architecture Community of Practice, sharing best practices and information around TD's tools and framework
- Develops and contributes to training development as part of enterprise-wide Business Architecture training curriculum
- Contributes to the continuous enhancement of knowledge / expertise and keep current with emerging industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in the external market that can contribute to delivering business objectives
Education & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree or Business Architecture certificate and/or 10+ years relevant experience
- Dexterous ability to cut through complexity and ambiguity to communicate and facilitate (help leaders visualize concepts, simplify complex scenarios, drive and influence prioritization & consensus)
- Good understanding of banking business fundamentals to include (Products & Services, front/middle/back office functions & interactions, market/industry players & trends)
- Can see and articulate the business strategy interdependencies across the enterprise
- Ability to connect the dots across products, channels, and segments to identify areas of value for the enterprise
- Ability to capture, communicate and align strategic objectives with business and operating models using multiple tools in the business architect toolkit.
- Can help articulate and translate business strategy to actionable OKRs, investment roadmaps
- Previous management consulting experience is an asset
