Cloud Engineer I

SUMMARY  

This position is responsible for the support of cloud environments primarily focused on Microsoft Azure. You will be responsible for learning and understanding our cloud and on-premises environment and participate in the migration to the cloud.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

• Participates in the design process and implements cloud-based solutions.
• Migrating on-premises based workloads into cloud infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and support issues related to performance, security, or capabilities of cloud-based solutions.
• Works closely with other teams to provide technical guidance for cloud options.
•  Works with Security team to implement and maintain security solutions.
•  Reduce backlog items by prioritizing current workloads.
• Assisting other teams with requests to the cloud team.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and technologies; recommend new solutions.
•  Participate in an "on-call" rotation for cloud support.
•  Review current server infrastructure and determine sizing and scalability as well as reduce server sprawl.
•  Supporting engineers and assisting with the migration to Azure.
•  Experience with Google Cloud and AWS is seen as a plus.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE  

•  2 years of related experience in Information Technology preferred.
•  1 year of experience in Microsoft Azure preferred.
•  Experience supporting companies utilizing cloud infrastructure.
•  Understanding Azure Offerings including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
•  Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field preferred.
• AZ-900 and AZ-104 certifications preferred.
