About the role

Introduction to the job

ASML US, including its affiliates and subsidiaries, bring together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market, and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon.

Do you enjoy security related challenges? Are you service oriented? Do you enjoy working with technology that helps users to get the right authorizations? Are you a pragmatic team player that likes to participate in solving challenges in a complex, high tech environment? Then you are a great candidate to become our new R&D IAM Specialist.

ASML is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of lithography machines and protecting our information is critical. As part of R&D Information Management, the IAM specialist plays a central role in protecting information in the R&D domain. ASML is migrating to new tooling and you will play an important role in that migration.

You will work in our IAM team within the D&E Information Management department supporting the R&D organization. The goal of this team is to improve engineering productivity by managing and monitoring application access and helping engineers with authorization issues. You will collaborate with our IT colleagues (IAM ART), security risk management, application owners and various business users ASML-wide.

Role and Responsibilities

Your job mission is to maintain the data in our IGA systems (Aveksa/Sailpoint) for R&D in a way that facilitates:

  • Engineers to always access business applications and information in a way that meets the security and compliance requirements of our organization.
  • Recognizable and easy to request business roles.

As an IAM specialist you take responsibility to:

  • Build IAM role and rule solutions and implement changes to the existing solutions (manage the roles!). This is your key-responsibility that will take the biggest effort.
  • Assess application access and advise IAM stakeholders on access models (drive re-use of existing solutions for uniformity reasons).
  • Contribute to the Sailpoint migration. Test existing and new functionalities.
  • Intake new demand: gather requirements from the business regarding protection of applications. Discuss requirements with relevant stakeholders and drive decisions that will create winning situations.
  • Facilitate business users within R&D with IAM-access and best practices. Handle questions regarding applications and data access of various business users.
  • Contribute to the development of IAM policies and procedures
  • Support troubleshooting authorization issues in front- and back-end systems.
  • Create visualization dashboards.
  • Advise business application owners on the best-practices regarding identity and access management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Master's preferred.
  • 5 years experience in working with IT-support and/or working within security domain
  • Experience in Identity and Access Management (with a focus on SailPoint IIQ)
  • Understanding of security relevant aspects as GRC, ISSA, ISSR, risk assessment.

Skills

Working at the cutting edge of tech, you’ll always have new challenges and new problems to solve – and working together is the only way to do that. You won’t work in a silo. Instead, you’ll be part of a creative, dynamic work environment where you’ll collaborate with supportive colleagues. There is always space for creative and unique points of view.
