The role is responsible for managing, configuring, and supporting DB2 database environments, ensuring stability, availability, and performance. The administrator will work closely with customers to implement new databases, maintain existing systems, and provide expertise in high availability, backup, and recovery solutions.</p><h3></h3><h2><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></h2><ul><li><h3>Administration, maintenance, and optimization of DB2 databases in production and non-production environments</h3></li><li><h3>Implementation and management of <b>HADR (High Availability Disaster Recovery)</b> solutions</h3></li><li><h3>Backup and recovery administration using <b>TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager)</b></h3></li><li><h3>Cluster and failover management using <b>TSA (Tivoli System Automation)</b></h3></li><li><h3>Installation, patching, and application of fix packs for DB2 environments</h3></li><li><h3>Monitoring database performance and troubleshooting issues proactively</h3></li><li><h3>Supporting customers with technical incidents and service requests</h3></li><li><h3>Planning, installing, and configuring new DB2 databases and instances</h3></li><li><h3>Ensuring compliance with security and audit standards</h3></li><li><h3>Preparing and maintaining documentation for database procedures, configurations, and changes</h3></li></ul><h3></h3><p><b>WE expect you to have:</b></p><ul><li><h3>Proven hands-on experience as a <b>DB2 Database Administrator</b> (ideally 4+ years)</h3></li><li><h3>Knowledge of <b>DB2 database architecture, configuration, and performance tuning</b></h3></li><li><h3>Expertise with <b>HADR</b>, <b>TSM</b>, and <b>TSA</b> solutions in DB2 environments</h3></li><li><h3>Experience with <b>patching, fix pack installations, and upgrades</b> of DB2 systems</h3></li><li><h3>Proficiency in <b>backup and recovery strategies</b></h3></li><li><h3>Solid knowledge of <b>SQL scripting</b> and automation (Shell, Perl, or Python)</h3></li><li><h3>Experience working in enterprise environments with high availability requirements</h3></li><li><h3>Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, change, problem management)</h3></li></ul><p></p><p><b>We offer:</b></p><ul><li><h3><b>The contract is for an indefinite period of time.</b> We count on you! ​​ </h3></li><li><h3><b>Stay fit and fresh.</b> In Ostrava, use the free fitness facilities in the building, in other locations, do sports with Multisport.</h3></li><li><h3><b>We'll support you when you're sick. </b>For colleagues who are seriously ill for a long period of time, we contribute to sick pay in excess of the law.  </h3></li><li><h3><b>107 CZK meal allowance on top of your salary.  </b></h3></li><li><h3><b>Educate yourself.</b> We regularly organise and pay for IT courses, certifications, language training and personal development courses.  </h3></li><li><h3><b>We contribute from 10 400 CZK per year.</b> You name it.
