Job Description

The Peacock Media team is looking to build a best-in-class team for its streaming platform. Reporting to the Director, Media Operations and part of the Media group, the Manager, Media Operations will manage a wide variety of projects that influence the systems and workflows the Media team works within daily. The role is focused on supporting projects that the Media and Media Operations team require in order to operate in their day-to-day roles. The Manager, Media Operations will also manage a team of Media Operation professionals who are some end users of the aforementioned systems and workflows.

The ideal candidate will be able to take ownership of key project details and communication throughout project workflows with internal departments, external third agencies and vendors. The role requires working knowledge of digital media and its associated technical and data-driven aspects plus strong organization and project tracking skills.

Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:

  • Formulate, organize, consult and monitor inter-connected Media and Media Operations projects.
  • Have working knowledge and be able to help educate cross-functional stakeholders on how all our systems used in our media workflows (some examples include but are not limited to AirTable, DCO, Big Query, Tableau, Claravine, Kochava, Maestro, ATOM, Voucher Manager, SIGMA, Smartshets, JIRA, etc) are inter-connected and create dependencies with one another.
  • Collaborate on department project forecast planning to ensure cross-functional roadmaps align with business needs.
  • Provide strategic project guidance and help translate complex objectives into simplified, relevant outputs that can be quickly understood and actioned.
  • Compile and surface media team stakeholder needs in larger projects and advocate for strategic decisions and outcomes that both solution against those needs and align with the company’s goals and priorities.
  • Develop and control deadlines, hold stakeholders accountable for contributions to project needs, resolve project scope issues and own change log management.
  • Own relationship with consulting agencies, media agencies and third-party vendors.
  • Create and socialize workflow plans and training materials to clarify roles and responsibilities around complex programs and system implementations to ensure seamless execution.
  • Provide informed analysis on opportunities for optimization at every chance.
  • Communicate and alert appropriate team leads about any red flags with projects or last-minute changes.
  • Manage, develop and mentor a team of Media Operational professionals whose focus is to support Media team stakeholders in day-to-day campaign execution and system/workflow maintenance and ownership.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years program management experience, preferably in media or entertainment landscape with proven success on projects that required a working knowledge of digital media technology and addressable data.
  • An understanding of digital media and the channels utilized in a digital media campaign.
  • Familiarity with project and software development lifecycle.
