Position Overview

Luma Financial Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and relationship-driven Insurance Distribution Relationship Manager to strengthen and expand Luma’s partnerships across the wealth management and insurance distribution landscape. This role will focus on deepening relationships with distribution partners to drive adoption of Luma’s annuity and life insurance platform solutions.


The ideal candidate will have strong experience in annuity and life insurance distribution, exceptional relationship management skills, and a passion for helping advisors and firms modernize their insurance business through technology.


Please note: Depending on the successful candidate's location, this position is expected to work 2-3 days/week from Luma's New York, NY or Cincinnati, OH office.

Responsibilities

Distributor Relationship Management & Growth

  • Manage and expand relationships with key distribution partners, including broker-dealer firms, banks, and independent marketing organizations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned distributors, ensuring exceptional engagement, satisfaction, and alignment with Luma’s platform strategy.
  • Partner closely with the Head of Insurance Product Sales to drive distribution adoption and with the Head of Insurance Partnerships to ensure coordination with carrier initiatives.
  • Identify and execute growth opportunities within existing relationships through education, training, and platform enablement.

Strategic Sales Enablement

  • Develop and execute account-level business plans to increase adoption of Luma’s annuity and life insurance solutions across distribution partners.
  • Collaborate with Luma’s sales, product, and marketing teams to create and deliver training programs, demos, and enablement content tailored to each partner’s needs.
  • Analyze distribution activity and advisor engagement to identify opportunities for enhanced utilization and sales performance.
  • Represent Luma in partner strategy meetings, national conferences, and field events to promote the platform and strengthen relationships.

Operational Excellence & Support

  • Ensure seamless onboarding, implementation, and post-launch support for new distribution partners.
  • Coordinate internally across product, client success, and technology teams to resolve issues, enhance workflows, and deliver an exceptional user experience.
  • Provide regular updates, reports, and insights to leadership on partnership performance and growth initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in annuity or life insurance distribution, relationship management, or business development.
  • Strong understanding of annuity and life insurance products, distribution models, and wealth management channels.
  • Proven track record of building and managing successful relationships with large broker-dealers, RIAs, or IMOs/FMOs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with both executive and field-level stakeholders.
