Job Duties

To support the special and daily operations of Headquarters, District 1 Probation and Parole as well as HQ annex locations.

Manage the use of utility personnel in providing a variety of utility services aimed at maintaining a suitable working environment for employees at the Department's Headquarters buildings, including repair of electronic equipment and installation/repair of locks. Troubleshoot, install and/or repair high and low voltage electrical circuits and components. Responds to other maintenance requests as needed. Responds to after-hours maintenance emergencies as directed. Enhance public safety by supervising sentenced offenders in a humane, cost-efficient manner, consistent with sound correctional principles and constitutional standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience and knowledge with low voltage access control systems, programmable controllers and door control systems. Working experience with electronics theory, including troubleshooting, calibration, test procedures, circuit analysis of electronic equipment. Ability to read and understand schematics, diagrams, mechanical drawings and blueprints.

Additional Considerations

Experience in maintenance, repair and installation of security cameras and access control systems. Skill in multiple trades, including carpentry, HVAC, and plumbing. Experience supervising others to complete a job.
