Position Overview:

The Director, Global Pricing, will have global pricing responsibility for products within the Cardiopulmonary Therapeutic Area and select products from other therapeutic areas.

This role provides strategic leadership and expertise in the development and implementation of global pricing strategies and policies that maximize patient access while optimizing revenue. The Director partners closely with regional and operating company Market Access and Pricing teams to ensure that relevant pricing requirements are identified early and that local payer insights are incorporated into clinical and commercial strategies. The ultimate objective is to deliver globally aligned pricing strategies and policies that enable timely reimbursement across all indications.

Success in this role requires exceptional collaboration, communication, and influencing skills, as well as the ability to build alignment across internal functions, regions, and operating companies. The Director must demonstrate both strong technical pricing capabilities and personal leadership to operate effectively in a matrixed environment, bridging global and regional commercial organizations to ensure seamless strategy development and implementation.

The selected candidate will be expected to clearly articulate strategic recommendations to senior management, drive cross-functional alignment, and provide informed guidance on pricing recommendations.

Key Responsibilities Overview:

  • Develop Global Pricing Strategies: Lead the formation and execution of pricing policies and global pricing governance activities for assigned products.

  • Market Collaboration: Work alongside regional teams to identify pricing requirements and ensure local payer perspectives are incorporated into clinical and commercial strategies.

  • Market Research: Conduct pricing and payer research studies to inform strategic pricing decisions and monitor competitor activity and market trends.

  • Cross-Functional Partnerships: Collaborate with Regulatory, Commercial, and Market Access teams to optimize filing strategies and launch sequencing plans.

  • Policy Monitoring: Stay abreast of global pricing and reimbursement policy changes, adapting strategies and recommendations accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required; An MBA and/or Pharm.D. is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience developing pharmaceutical pricing policies or in related Market Access roles is required, preferably in a global context.

  • Payer Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of payer markets, including experience preparing negotiation strategies.

  • Regulatory Awareness: Experience working with regulatory bodies in Europe, the US, and/or Asia Pacific is preferred.

  • Skills: Strong strategic, analytical, negotiation and influencing abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to navigate complex global organizations.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 25%, both domestically and internationally.
