About the Role:

As part of the Reporting & Analytics (R&A) team, the Data Warehouse Developer will support development and maintenance of data management solutions using data warehouse technologies. This role will work under the technical guidance of the Senior Data Warehouse Architect to support business analysts and data analysts, to understand the company's data needs and develop plans to integrate and organize data in a secure and accessible way. This individual will write code and create frameworks for databases and will maintain systems for keeping raw data, metadata, and other data assets. The Data Warehouse Developer must have experience as a data/ETL engineer, understanding fully the methodologies behind delivering the right solutions on time, with quality and considering factors including a project’s ROI and financial metrics to determine best practices and deliver solutions. This role is expected to have the skills to back up the Senior Data Warehouse Architect on development and maintenance tasks.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support development of database systems for corporate data warehousing and business intelligence
  • Monitor database systems and address performance, accuracy, and security issues as they arise
  • Develop and test ETL systems to consolidate data from heterogeneous business systems
  • Support the development and release processes for database and ETL systems
  • Ensure sufficient performance of data transfers and loads, and meet data latency requirements
  • Write ad-hoc queries and perform data profiling
  • Work with stakeholders and business analysts to understand reporting requirements, and support development of suitable data models
  • Create and maintain documentation on standard operation procedures related to the areas of responbilities
  • Recommend strategies to improve performance and capacity of tools
  • Effectively manage and prioritize tasks
  • Approach internal requests in a proactive and consultative manner, and effectively deliver appropriate solution proposals
  • Partner with internal technical and business teams such as IT Enterprise Platforms, Application Development, Integration Management Office and Reporting & Analytics teams, and other experts to define optimal integration strategies within existing analytics ecosystems

Qualifications & Interests:.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of work experience with ETL/ELT, Data Modeling, and Data Arc
