About the role
Orgill is seeking a Manager, Shipping and Receiving for our Innovation Center to efficiently perform Shipping and Receiving tasks. These tasks are critical to the overall process and can be redefined as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Unload merchandise by forklift.
- Count and sign all freight bills of ladings
- Scan and sort incoming merchandise
- Accurately receive and document all incoming products/packages
- Read Orgill’s label/tag accurately to ensure correct drop off location
- Responsible for shipping of all outbound orders accurately and on time.
- Assists in resolving order errors or discrepancies.
- Manage and organize all areas within the Shipping and Receiving area.
- Transfer ready merchandise from all areas and ship out of Shipping and Receiving dock.
- Shrink wrap pallets for safe and secure travel.
- Load pallets and loose product into designated trailers and strap.
- Schedule pick ups and deliveries
- Create Bills of Lading
- Collect and track any returns, mispicks or damaged goods and bring it to a manager’s attention.
- Assist with other non-Shipping and Receiving related tasks such as distributing pallets, collecting damaged pallets, etc.
- Establish good working relationships with other departments to ensure smooth transition of all outbound functions.
- Adhere to Innovation Center housekeeping guidelines
- Everyone is responsible for housekeeping in their work area. This should be done at the end of each shift, and throughout the day as needed.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned in an efficient, effective and cost conscious manner complying with all company policies, rules and regulations.
In order to be effective in this position, you must be able to:
- Operate equipment
- Lift up to 70 lbs (team lift over 70 lbs)
- Be at work on time every day
- Adhere to daily work schedule
- Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety policies and practices.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Basic knowledge of Google Sheets
- Be trained on the Epicor Eagle system
- Manage all in and out bound orders as they relate to Eagle
- Maintain required Eagle discipline as set forth by Retail Services leadership and any guidelines put in place by Accounting.
- Build and maintain a relationship with Orgill’s Manager of Corporate Inventory Control.
