What you'll be doing
The ACH Operations Specialist is responsible for accurate, timely and efficient processing of ACH transactions, in addition to incoming and outgoing domestic ACH transactions, suspended files, research, in accordance with bank policy, directives, and procedures. This role performs ACH related research and response to internal and external financial transaction inquiries, departmental inquiries and various requests that must be addressed in a timely and accurate manner.

How you'll succeed
This position will report to the ACH Operations Manager.
Will work closely with Payments Operations, the Treasury Management Services Team, and other Lines of Business.
Work daily to clear suspensions, research/investigate client and/or LOB requests, and process corporate and consumer disputes
Assist in developing policies, procedures, and training materials to maximize efficiency and customer service within the team.
Monitoring/Process ACH Exception activity; research/solving ACH Domestic and International investigations and assist in the recovery of suspicious or fraudulent ACH transfers.
Work closely with Internal Audit and other compliance focused teams
Reporting and other analytical functions.
Who you are
You possess at least 5-10 years banking and ACH Processing experience.
You have AAP Accreditation is a plus but not required, Knowledge of FIS core ACH processing system a plus.
You have a preferred college degree, but not required.
You show strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
You pay strong attention to detail.
You must be proficient with Excel, having the ability to gather statistics, process into spreadsheets, compute formulas and format into presentable documents for bank executives.
You have the ability to learn new computer applications and systems quickly.
You have experience with system conversions, implementing and testing new systems strongly desired.
You portray strong process improvement experience.
At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $61,500 - $69,200K for the Chicago, IL market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
