Job Duties

Responsible for receiving, inspecting, verifying, and storing all agency purchases, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with audit requirements. Maintains inventory of food, medical, janitorial, office, and warehouse supplies by issuing stock, monitoring usage, determining reorder points, and maintaining appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking. Ensures all inventory is properly dated, rotated, and stored according to FIFO (First In, First Out) standards while maintaining clean and sanitary storage areas. Assists with purchasing activities using eVA and Small Purchase Credit Card (SPCC) procedures in compliance with the Virginia Public Procurement Act, including sourcing vendors, expediting purchase orders, and coordinating deliveries. Provides clerical and administrative support to the Procurement Director through data entry, contract maintenance, spreadsheet management, research projects, and use of Microsoft Office applications. Assists with surplus property management, including equipment transfers, storage, disposition, and completion of required property movement documentation. Position requires work in varying temperature conditions, including coolers, freezers, and outdoor receiving environments.

Minimum Qualifications

General concept of record keeping, office and storage procedures, knowledge and application of storeroom operations and inventory control procedures; ability to interpret and implement guidance from verbal or written instructions.

Additional Considerations

Proficient in use of computer applications (word processing, eVA Procurement database, etc.) and other office equipment
