As a Logistics Specialist IV, you will review our logistics documentation to establish a pipeline for the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals needed are on track to be shipped and stocked. You'll be responsible for routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, managing our records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals, and tracking logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of our storage facilities. You'll ensure compliance to state, federal, and global regulations and coordinate import/export requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and create reports
  • Complete accurate database entries
  • Research and respond to inquiries about status, etc.
  • Loading parts and requisitions into system
  • Managing tool receipts and reports for the calibration program -
  • Monitoring reports when tool goes out, tracking back to site, and returning to inventory from vendor after calibration
  • Conduct inventory
  • Perform packing, crating/shipping activities

Must-haves:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
    • A higher level degree may substitute for experience
    • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques
  • Progressive experience with inventory databases
  • Ability to complete Hazmat training and receive certification as soon as possible after hire
  • Current/ valid passport
  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment
  • Ability to deploy occasionally, +/- 15-30 days at a time and subject to Program need
  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred:

  • Ability to mentor, train, guide and inspect the work of others
  • Familiarity with Big Safari DB or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems
  • HazMat Training/Certification
  • Ability to operate a Forklift
  • Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS and familiarity with commercial invoices
  • Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record
  • Understanding of Shelf Life
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $33.38 - $45.90. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
