Director, Solutions Architect

General Purpose:
The Director, Solutions Architect, is responsible for leading a team of Solutions Architects to provide high quality solutions driven sales support for all TPx products, with a specific focus on targeted products matching the company's strategic directions. Responsible for overseeing the team's day-to-day activities, tracking performance of individual team members, providing escalation support where needed, and acting as the primary point of contact to Sales leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicates clearly and concisely through team/individual meetings to foster and develop a common vision, provide clear direction, priorities and/or clarify roles and responsibilities.
- Establishes Solutions Architect Team objectives and monitors Solutions Architect Team performance.
- Meets with individual Sales Management on a regular basis to discuss Solutions Architect performance, market conditions, and to solicit suggestions for improvement of Solutions Architect support.
- Fosters a culture that retains and develops Solutions Architect team members.
- Assists with UCx and MSx sales opportunities.
- Partners with Product Management, Product Marketing and other teams for promotions to assist TPx in reaching revenue targets.
- Meets with customer contacts (both Regional Director level and technical) to position TPx products appropriately and drive the sales to completion.
- Conducts sales presentations demonstrating TPx's professional solutions to meet customer's specific telecommunications managed information technology needs.
- Attends Sales meetings on a regular basis.
- Provides additional training for all sales channels on all TPx services, including how to identify and qualify opportunities.
- Provides supplemental training on TPx products to Sales, Solutions Architects, Agents, & Vendors.
Other Responsibilities:
- Assists TPx departments on inquiries regarding new and current voice and IT deployments and reconfigurations.
- Completes Statement of Work and Virtual Site Surveys for UCx and MSx as required.
- Promotes and educates other TPx departments on technology regarding industry standards, new technology, and TPx.
- Provides information and feedback to Product Marketing regarding product positioning within the marketplace, customer acceptance, frequent issues, etc.
- Assists as needed with projects regarding customer accounts and internal systems.
- Tracks and reports roadblocks to senior management, providing suggestions for change to increase operational effectiveness.
- Provides second level escalation support for Solutions Architects, and other TPx departments.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Up to 40% local travel with use of personal vehicle required.
- Up to 20% domestic travel with overnight stay required.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- 5-10 years' experience at the supervisor or Regional Director level is
- 5-10 years' experience in direct
- Any equivalent combination of education and
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Cisco Certified Design Associate, Microsoft, Fortigate NSE (1 -- 3), Microsoft Certified Fundamentals or MCSA certification and or other telecommunications/IT certifications
- Foundational knowledge on TCP/IP, MPLS, VPLS, LAN/WAN, Ethernet, SIP, CoS, QoS, UCaaS, Contact Center, Cybersecurity best practices, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Server OS's and Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions.

- Valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR).
Other Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Marketing, or Electrical Engineering
- 3-5 years' experience in PBX sales, design, or installation
- 3-5 years' experience in Sales Engineering, or similar
- 3-5 years' experience in network design
