Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Engineer - Analytics Strategy & Delivery to serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the Senior Manager of Analytics and AVP of Analytics Product Group Head. This high-impact individual contributor role combines deep financial acumen, executive-level influence, and analytics portfolio expertise to shape and drive the enterprise analytics roadmap at TD. 
 
You will partner closely with multiple Analytics Product Group Owners (PGOs) to build integrated roadmaps, ensure financial discipline across a multi portfolios, translate complex business priorities into actionable analytics strategies, and deliver compelling executive narratives to AVPs (weekly), VPs (monthly), and SVP/regulatory audiences (quarterly). This role has no direct reports but carries significant dotted-line influence across the I&E organization and is responsible for vendor/contract management and governance of analytics initiatives. 
 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Partner with I&E Analytics PGOs to develop, align, and maintain a cohesive enterprise analytics roadmap that reflects business priorities, regulatory requirements, and technology capabilities 
  • Own financial planning, tracking, and reporting for the Analytics portfolio, including budget development, monthly actuals vs. plan analysis, variance explanations, capital vs. expense optimization, and ROI/business-case development in partnership with Business Finance and I&E Finance partners 
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality executive presentations, briefing materials, and read-outs for AVP weekly updates, VP monthly operating reviews, and SVP quarterly business/regulatory reviews 
  • Drive analytics strategy articulation and prioritization by translating strategic business objectives into multi-year capability roadmaps and investment proposals 
  • Lead data governance and audit-response efforts for the Analytics portfolio, ensuring compliance with enterprise data policies, regulatory expectations, and risk frameworks 
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts across the analytics portfolio, including SOW negotiation, performance tracking, and strategic sourcing recommendations 
  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination and alignment with key stakeholders (Business Lines, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Technology & Platform teams) to unblock dependencies and accelerate delivery 
  • Establish and track OKRs and key performance metrics for the Analytics PGO; provide proactive insights on risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans 
Act as a strategic thought partner to the AVP on organizational structure, resource allocation, and transformation initiatives 

Depth & Scope:

  • Top technical individual contributor expert role with knowledge of specific domain or broad range of engineering frameworks, technology, tools, processes and procedures, as well as broader organization issues and relevant technology
  • Advanced and highly specialized knowledge of TD applications, systems, networks, innovation, design activities, best practices, business/organization, Bank standards, and may fulfill a governance role
  • Engineering specialist assigned to work autonomously on high profile, complex and/or high risk technology initiatives with significant impact to the organization
  • Provides technical leadership/consulting/direction to a larger team on all aspects of engineering

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Graduate degree
  • Strong academic background (e.g., computer science, engineering)
  • 10+  years relevant experience
