Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time.  Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers.  Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation.  Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines:  Reliability System Safety and Supportability.

What You Will Do:

Raytheon currently has an exciting Principal Engineer, Reliability Engineering opportunity available in support of the Raytheon mission of making the word a safer place.

As a Principal Engineer, Reliability Engineering, you’ll be responsible for the following:

  • Leading performance of reliability predictions

  • Supporting design reviews

  • Leading failure analysis and root cause and corrective action studies to assure Customer Satisfaction

  • Completing FRACAS and FMECA related investigations and analysis

  • Working across multiple engineering teams to help implement design changes for products being produced

  • Leading fellow team members on program(s) to conduct test data analysis and trending

  • Providing technical direction to the factory for field return assets

  • Providing technical direction on system assembly and disassembly when onsite technical personnel cannot resolve problems

  • Working with team members to provide data driven recommendations and solutions to the customer covering a wide range of technical subjects.

  • Approximately 5% Domestic and International travel may be required. 

  • This job is posted as ONSITE, and can be located in Tucson, AZ OR Huntsville, AL

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 8 (eight) years relevant experience.  An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position

  • Experience with reliability analysis or failure analysis

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience performing reliability predictions for electronic hardware

  • Experience managing multiple technical projects and customer requests in a fast-paced operations environment

  • Experience developing and providing technical presentations to audiences including the U.S. and international customers

  • Experience with National instruments LabView or LabWindows software packages, PXI, myDAQ,  Compact RIO hardware, or WindChill.

  • Experience with system assembly, disassembly and test
