Job Summary:
Provide clinical/administrative support for all Audiologists in multiple locations to include managing patient hearing aid trials, dates, and bills of sale, inventory management of hearing aids, patient daily flow management and coordination of Audiologists schedules.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Administrative/ Clinical Support
* Entering patient clinical information into EPIC EMR.
* Scheduling/coordinating patient appointments.
* Patient daily flow management.
* Patient follow-ups.
* Next day preparation/proper items received for fitting and pickups.
* Audiology supply orders and forms.
* Arranging Hearing aid vendor visits with Audiologists.
* Ensure Provider PTO and clinical coverage is coordinated.
* Understanding of healthcare insurance benefits with capacity to explain to patients.
* Assist with cleaning, fitting and programming of patients hearing aids.
* Educating patients on all aspects of care and usage of their hearing aids.
* Manage patient hearing aid trials, dates, and bills of sale.
* Inventory management of hearing aids.
* Assist with sales and fitting of hearing aids.
* Maintenance and repairs on all hearing aids.
* Monitor daily shipments coming in and out.
* Manage all walk-in traffic, troubleshooting non-working hearing aids.
* Entering audiograms into programming system, NOAH.
* Sterilization of tools and test equipment.
* Provide assistance with Lyric, Baha, Cochlear.
Advertising/Marketing/Planning
* Coordinate community marketing events with Audiologists.
* Creation, presentation of hearing aid sales documents.
* Correspondence with manufacturers.
* Product knowledge of all manufacturers and accessory pricing.
* Atria, Lanier Village visits and community outreach planning and preparations.
* Knowledge of all hearing aid programs: TruHearing, VocRehab, Georgia Lions Foundation.
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Required Minimum Education:
High school diploma
Equivalent
Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare
Required
Required Minimum Skills:
EMR, scheduling, communication skills
