Job Summary:

The Lead Equipment Operations will operate a variety of equipment, trucks and tractors for the purpose of street and utility repair, maintenance, and construction of facilities.

 

Job Specifications:  

  • Starting Wage: $22.00/hr - $29.76/hr  
  • Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2025/2026  
  • Shift Type: Full Time 10:00 pm - 08:30am
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age  
  • Housing Availability: Yes 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment owned by the Metro District for street and utility repair, maintenance, snow removal and construction of facilities. 
  • Performs all tasks for group, including operations of the full range of heavy equipment vehicles. 
  • Organizes and delegates daily workload of employees within area of responsibility. 
  • Enforces policies, procedures and safety guidelines. 
  • Assist with scheduling of staff for coverage of all positions. 
  • Provides year-round training and guidance to staff. 
  • Fabricate and weld in an advanced capacity. 
  • Perform planning, solutions and execution of projects as need arises. 
  • Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on all equipment used e.g. checking fluids, functional components, cleaning, tire changing, plow maintenance, broom/brush replacement, etc. 
  • Perform landscape maintenance activities such as watering, stake removal / installation, pruning and irrigation maintenance. 
  • Perform un-skilled and semi-skilled and skilled labor in support of normal work activities such as using shovels, rakes, jackhammers, power tools, mowers, weed whips, etc. 
  • AXend Company training classes as required for position. 
  • Perform other duties as required and may be assigned

 

Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL license and clean driving record 
  • Minimum of 5 years heavy equipment experience 
  • High school diploma or equivalent - required 
  • Able to read, write, speak, understand and comprehend English fluently - required 
  • Able to lift and carry 50 lbs - required 
  • Able to work in outdoors in an alpine environment

 

The expected pay range is $22.00/hr - $29.76/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
