The Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for a Field Technician to join our team in Lakewood, Washington. As the Field Technician, you will be assigned to critical machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers. This opportunity includes a $2000 sign-on bonus.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Field Technician your key responsibilities will include:

• Adequately diagnose and repair heavy machinery and lift equipment as required by customers
• Build relationships with customers, communicating a clear understanding of job scopes and repair requirements
• Perform planned maintenance and safety inspections on a variety of material handling equipment
• Conduct tasks assigned from the Dispatcher, maintaining communication and providing updates as needed
• Prepare all required parts before visiting job sites
• Actively communicate with the Parts department to ensure required parts are needed, including tracking orders and following up when required 
• Complete work order forms for assigned jobs
• Adhere to warranty policies, and complete necessary warranty documentation
• Report any safety incidents according to company policy
• Maintain organized and tidy work environments
• Maintain proper documentation as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

• Driver's license (required)
• Heavy Duty or Automotive Journeyperson’s ticket, or 5+ years of proven experience in a related industry (required)

• Relevant Trade Certification (preferred)

• Experience with the Linde product line is considered an asset
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with external customers and internal stakeholders
• Ability to travel to customer sites within the local region
• Must be able to gain access to Federal Government buildings through clearance screening process

The base pay range for this role is: $33.00 to $38.00 per hour.     

This role is fully onsite at our Lakewood, WA branch.
