General Description and Classification Standards
The Senior Management Analyst performs a comprehensive range of analytical and data management tasks related to the operations and management systems of an assigned department. This role involves collecting and organizing data from various sources, including systems, surveys, interviews, contractors, and vendors, to develop detailed summaries and insightful observations.
Supervision Received
Works under very general supervision, independently or as a team member in carrying out assignments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Conducting in-depth analyses of operational processes, efficiency, and effectiveness in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and financial plans.
Managing procure-to-pay processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance in procurement activities, and facilitating seamless interactions with contractors and vendors.
Tracking and reporting on procurement activities, vendor performance, and contract compliance.
Maintaining and enhancing ongoing operational reporting processes, producing periodic organizational reports that inform decision-making.
Assisting with the analysis of utilization and trend data to support strategic planning and budgeting processes.
Providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Contributing to the development and refinement of financial plans and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
This role requires a detail-oriented and analytical mindset, with strong capabilities in data management, process analysis, and vendor relationship management. The Senior Management Analyst plays a crucial role in driving organizational performance through data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of organizational, financial, and operational analysis. Skill in communicating effectively both orally and in writing with department personnel, outside officials, professionals, and the general public. Ability to prepare and deliver logical summaries and conclusions related to organizational, planning, budgeting, and other advice. Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in management, business or public administration or a related field 1-3 years of progressively responsible professional supervisory, analytical, or consulting experience.Preferred Education & Experience Master's degree in management, business or public administration or a related field and 1-3 years' of progressively responsible professional supervisory, analytical, or consulting experience.
