About the Team

As a Product Leader focusing on the Payment Exchange Platform, you will:

Drive the strategy for the platform to ensure it meets the current and future needs of the payment types that process through the platform including wires, ACH, instant payments, check disbursements. 

Partner closely with payment type product and technology teams to ensure a deep understanding of their needs from the platform and define the functional and technical capabilities needed to deliver exceptional payment experiences.  

Deliver core platform capabilities that power the payment workflow on the platform including initiation, processing and data streaming capabilities.

Ensure compliance with existing enterprise platform standards and lead the further definition of best in class platform capabilities.  

Define and execute an enterprise product strategy that meets the needs of multiple lines of business, accelerates onboarding of new clients and new use cases, and enables seamless integration across core banking systems and channels

Lead high performing, inclusive product teams and collaborate with cross financial partners across Technology, Operations, Strategy & Analytics, Risk, and Finance to ensure the wire platform delivers measurable outcomes for the business and our customers

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 9 years of experience working in Product Management

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: 

    • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)

    • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $264,300 - $301,700 for Sr. Dir, Product Management
