Internal Medicine Physician - International Patient Focus

Mayo Clinic is seeking a full-time Internal Medicine physician to build a clinical and research career with a focus in International Medicine with the Division of General Internal Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida.  

As an International Medicine physician at Mayo Clinic, you’ll care for patients from nearly 150 countries across the world who come with a variety of health conditions.  You’ll serve as these patients’ coordinating provider, connecting them with needed specialists and testing, and ensuring they return home with a comprehensive care plan. You’ll work in partnership with colleagues who specialize in caring for patients from outside the United States, including nursing, patient coordinators, and interpreters – all focused on putting the needs of the patient first

The Division of General Internal Medicine is one of the largest academic general internal medicine divisions in the nation providing consultative and referral care to a rich patient mix involving regional, national, and international patients. 

 

Qualified candidates should be board-certified/board-eligible in internal medicine with a desire for scholarly activity. Preference will be given to those candidates with additional year(s) of training in advanced General Internal Medicine (Chief Residency or fellowship) or internal medicine practice experience.  Research training through fellowship or a Master’s Degree program is desirable, but not a prerequisite for application.
