Senior Manager - People Analytics (Chicago, NYC or Louisville)
The following position is open in either Chicago, New York or Louisville.
What makes this a great opportunity?
As a member of the Global People Analytics team reporting to the Director, Global People Analytics & Reporting, you will serve as a true business partner providing data-driven consulting to internal stakeholders in alignment with the strategic priorities of the organization. This role will work directly with HR Business Partners & the HR Leadership Team with secondary support to the Talent, DEI and Total Rewards team, building a data centric culture.
This role is uniquely positioned for someone with a strong grasp of analytics, statistical concepts, HR applications, and a desire to champion data driven practices within our HR organization. You will provide ongoing insights to the business through custom-built analyses and support the development and execution of ad-hoc research questions. You will have full ownership of the technologies used to organize and visualize data (primarily Visier) and work side-by-side with leaders to positively impact attracting, developing, retaining, and motivating talent. Additionally, this role will oversee our critical government compliance reporting deliverables globally such as EEO, AAP, pay equity analyses, etc.
The PA team is comprised of 2 additional team members: a Senior Manager - People Analytics and a People Reporting & Data Analyst Lead. We are collaborative and resourceful with strong prioritization mechanisms to meet our stakeholders' needs. Our goal is to provide timely and relevant people data & insights to drive decision-making towards BSI’s performance objectives.
Responsibilities
Data & Vendor Management
- Serve as a thought leader to recommend initiatives, system changes and practices that make people programs more data-driven in all phases of the employee’s life cycle from recruiting through exit.
- Participate in end-to-end data transfers from the HR Information System to visualization tools (Visier) in support of centralizing components for analysis to one source.
- Participate in the annual planning process to mature the team’s analytics capabilities through the inclusion of new tools, practices and learning based on multiple considerations such as cost, implementation effort, ongoing maintenance requirements, stakeholder readiness and value delivered.
Analytics Delivery
- Partner with the People Analytics Team to prepare presentations that communicate results and actionable recommendations to senior leaders and HR audiences using storytelling techniques and visualizations.
- Lead deep dive analysis – manipulate, integrate, and transform data to determine trends or address hypotheses. Interpret results, including identifying anomalies, issues for further investigation, opportunities, etc.
Capability Building/Data Culture
- Actively educate and promote data literacy throughout the organization. Provide training sessions to enhance employees' understanding of data analytics concepts, tools, and techniques.
- Ensure that employees have access to relevant data and analytics tools. Simplify data access and promote self-service analytics platforms that empower users to explore data and generate insights independently.
Stakeholder Engagement & Consultation
- Serve as an internal consultant translating business needs into analytics projects, collaborating between technical and non-technical teams.
- Proactively partner with HRBPs to bring the people analytics service catalogue and product portfolio to life.
- Use knowledge of the business and core HR cycles to propose analyses, studies, dashboards, and metrics in support of HR and business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, business management, statistics, analytics, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 4+ years of experience working with data and advanced analytics - Excel, R, SQL (R & Python preferred, not required).
- 4+ years producing dashboards and insights - Power BI, Visier, Tableau (AI exposure a nice to have).
