Position Summary
The primary function of this position is ensuring APD residential (group home and assisted living facility) and nonresidential (adult day training and prevocational) setting compliance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements, set forth in 42 CFR 441.301. The duties to be performed include:
The Work You Will Do
- Conduct onsite monitoring through established survey protocols of APD residential and non-residential settings located within the region to determine compliance with 42 CFR 441.301(c)(4). Onsite monitoring includes conducting interviews of individuals served within residential settings and non-residential settings to verify person centered plans are in place that ensure rights, dignity, choice, and community integration.
- Conduct validation surveys of residential and non-residential settings every three years to ensure continued compliance with CMS requirements.
- Complete written survey reports summarizing findings related to the providers’ compliance with CMS requirements, including identification of deficiencies to be remediated.
