Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate current lab practices and processes, specific to how they will integrate with the LIMS program, making recommendations to improve the link between the two.
  • Trains and assists users on the functionality of LIMS and LIMS-based software.
  • May be required to direct the LIMS conversions process.
  • Troubleshoots LIMS and other database problems when necessary.
  • Acts as liaison between the laboratory and IT for the development of new functionality.
  • Will design code and specification changes on a case-by-case basis.
  • Tests LIMS and related LIMS programs, both enhancements and fixes, when required.
  • Assists in addressing issues with client deliverables (hardcopy and EDD) to ensure clients receive accurate and timely data.
  • Responsible for completing requests for new LIMS accounts.
  • Provides after hour on-call support for LIMS issues for the lab as needed during a conversion.
  • Position requires significant out-of-town travel for meetings, training or providing assistance at laboratories that are the target of conversion efforts.
  • Produce reports and provide data as needed for managerial purposes.
  • Participates in LIMS and Change Management conference calls.
  • Provides information/support to other LIMS Analysts as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Familiarity with analytical methodology, specifications, certificates of analysis
  • Strong computer, scientific, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new tasks, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, show attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree and/or laboratory experience in the following fields or related fields: Biochemistry, Cellular/Molecular Biology, Protein Science
  • Experience in Laboratory Information Management Systems
  • Bachelor's degree and/or laboratory experience in the following fields or related fields: Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cellular/Molecular Biology, or other STEM field

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in science, business, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major) required
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

The majority of our positions are Full Time, Monday- Friday, First Shift, plus additional hours, as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.
