The purpose of this position is to provide technical advice and act as a lead to Transit Operators. This is accomplished by safely and efficiently operating transit vehicles, performing road checks, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and monitoring and training of the Transit Operators in support of daily operations. Other duties may include completing related tasks as assigned.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Experience operating vehicles safely and efficiently, including conducting pre- and post-trip inspections.
- The ability to assist passengers, including seniors and individuals with disabilities, when boarding and exiting the vehicle.
- Skills in monitoring driver performance and ensuring excellent customer service, punctuality, and safety.
- Experience documenting and investigating incidents or accidents.
- The ability to support and train new drivers, including instruction on vehicle operation, customer service, transit policies, and proper use of technology and documentation.
- Strong recordkeeping skills and the ability to coordinate ongoing and annual driver training.
- A collaborative approach to addressing service concerns and recommending improvements for safety and operations.
- Experience conducting safety and compliance inspections, maintaining driver supplies, and coordinating with Fleet for vehicle repairs and availability.

QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- High school graduation or equivalency.
Experience:
- 2-4 years previous experience required in the same or similar previous positions.
- The job requires a sound knowledge of common and uncommon techniques, concepts, methods, practices, use of forms, routines, etc., of complex nature.
Physical Demands:
- Work requires moderate physical exertion. Force
