The successful candidates will lead a manufacturing stream to deliver pharmaceutical manufacturing and dispensing operations, ensuring safety, quality, compliance, consistent supply, and delivery of objectives.

In this role you will

• Take responsibility for a defined manufacturing stream, be responsible for performance and delivery of Pilot Plant manufacturing schedule.
• Diligently lead the manufacturing stream within their line of responsibility ensuring GSK code is embedded at all times.
• Provides technical insight and oversight for the manufacture of supplies for Clinical Trials and other investigational purposes.
• Work in partnership with the NPI lead to ensure campaigns are successfully delivered according to the flight plan.
• Accountable for problem solving, delivering improvements and supporting performance management within the role holder’s area of responsibility.
• Recommends process and efficiency improvements identifying cost savings and knowledge value.
• Guarantee that the fundamentals of safety, quality and compliance are understood by the  stream, in place and maintained through strong standards, showing leadership through personal accountability.
• Evaluates new technologies and equipment by working with third party vendors and as Equipment Owner composes SOP’s for new and existing equipment and provides training to relevant staff.

• Strong leadership skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of GMP regulations and experience in operating in a GMP environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of a wide variety of dosage forms and associated pharmaceutical processes, equipment and utility systems.
• Practical experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing or related industries.
• Working knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations, policies and procedures.
• Effective problem solving and continuous improvement skills.
• Good organizational and planning abilities with a strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work within a flexible environment.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and team-working skills.
