Compensation: $104,000 - $145,000 per year. You are eligible for a Short-Term Incentive Plan with the target at 7.5% of your annual earnings; terms and conditions apply.
Project Manager – Remote PST or Hybrid in Aliso Viejo, CA
The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering technology projects on time, within scope, and on budget. This role coordinates resources, manages cross-functional teams, and oversees all aspects of project life cycles to ensure successful outcomes. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Essential Functions
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure effective project execution
- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain clear communication throughout the project
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Lead regular project meetings and provide status reports to stakeholders and leadership
- Ensure adherence to IT governance and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, QA, and infrastructure teams
- Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Conduct post-project reviews and ensure documentation and knowledge transfer
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience managing IT projects (software, infrastructure, or systems)
- Proven experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello, Asana)
- Strong understanding of SDLC and IT operations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer and service focus
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated success working with a team. Must be able to influence without authority
- Demonstrated knowledge of operational/logistical aspects of clinical testing as well as regulatory requirements; GCP
- Wide application of technical principles, practices, and procedures. Strong understanding of business unit function and cross group dependencies/relationships
- 6+ years of related work experience with a strong understanding of clinical diagnostics, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent certification preferred
- PMP certification is desired
