About this role

Hi, I’m Aabhas and I’m the CTO here at Found. Thanks for your interest in Found. Our team is responsible for taking products from ideation to being used by tens of thousands of users every week. We’re responsible for everything from building the product to technical operations (and everything in between such as getting better with outages, improving reliability, and reducing tech debt…)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer that is excited to build customer-facing and internal-facing products that directly drive business impact. You'll be responsible for shaping our long-term technical vision and setting a high-quality bar. I personally review every application, so if you have any questions please include them in your application. 

Some recent team accomplishments include: 

• Rolling out a net new workflow engine to make long-running and background tasks more reliable, easier to introspect, and easier to retry (Temporal)

• Scaling (successfully) our request volume by 100% Month over Month every month for the last 6 months

• Rolling out an experimentation and feature flagging framework for authenticated and unauthenticated users across all our sites and apps

• Averaging 100 production deployments/month

Day to day, you will:

• Collaborate with product, design, or other cross-functional teams to build and ship products (consumer-facing or internal).

• Build useful request tracing.

• Deploy easy-to-use experimentation frameworks.

• Build, maintain, and iterate code quickly and safely.

To thrive in this role, you have:

• 8+ years of experience with backend and frontend frameworks and technologies.

• Advocated for and rolled out new technologies / open-source frameworks that empowered prior engineering organizations.

• Experience with relational databases and working with large-scale databases.

• A passion for writing clean, simple, and self-documenting code.

You may also have:

• Experience or interest in financial services, accounting, and/or self-employment.

• Experience as a manager, tech lead, or architect.

• Experience driving initiatives across an organization or a company.

• Experience building fault-tolerant systems.

Compensation at Found

The anticipated salary range for this role is $145,000 - $225,000. The salary range listed represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by several factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
