Your impact:


Inspects and monitors field work activities on a project to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and other contract documents
Checks lines, grades, dimensions and elevations using standard surveying and field measuring equipment
Calculates payments due contractors for work completed.
Consults with Project Engineers, resident project representatives and contractors' superintendents on work progress and construction problems; reviews equipment utilization data and time/cost estimates.
Ensures highway work zones and traffic control setups conform to contract requirements
Tests and/or samples materials
Responsible to a licensed professional engineer who has full authority for approval of all work.
Employees at this level follow standard practices that do not require frequent supervision of details.

Who you are:


Candidates must have completed at least 2 years of Civil Engineering coursework with a major in Civil Engineering or Civil and Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, Construction Management, or a similar technical field of undergraduate work.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and follow per senior level inspector’s basic technical instructions
Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management.
Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
Strong problem solving skills.
Ability to self-motivate and work productively with minimal direction.
Knowledge of Word, Excel and Microstation are preferred.
Must possess a valid driver’s license 
Excellent written and oral communication skills
