Responsibilities include processing financial transactions, analysing data, preparing reports, and assisting with budgeting processes to align accounting activities with government regulations and corporate standards. The role also involves reviewing and processing invoices, resolving payment queries, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data for the service company.</p><p>You will be a member of the Nordic Finance team. We operate Hybrid working, with our office based in Central Copenhagen. We are approximately 50 employees in the Nordic region.</p><p></p><p><b><span>Your new role </span></b></p><ul><li>Participate in month-end closing activities, preparation of annual accounts and audit.</li><li>Collaborate with our international teams, develop knowledge and share best practices to ensure alignment and continued efficiency improvements across processes</li><li>Participate in the expense planning process</li><li>Filing and payment of Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) and VAT</li><li>Prepare balance sheet reconciliations</li><li>Support and maintain internal controls in line with Internal audit standards (Risk and control <span>self-assessment/RCSA)</span></li><li>Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations</li><li>Ensure all processes are documented in a standard format and maintained in an accessible fashion</li><li>Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets customer expectations.</li><li>Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements to meet financial obligations.</li><li>Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate accounting records to ensure compliance with regulations.</li><li>Assist with special <span>investigations/projects</span> concerning accounting issues as required.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Your profile</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Fluency in Danish is required and good English skills are essential</li><li>Knowledge of Danish tax regulations</li><li>Accounting experience within a financial services or insurance organisation</li><li>Experience supporting on audit related tasks (internal and external audits)</li><li>Experience of using Oracle Financials or similar ERP system is a plus</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel</li><li>Analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Attention to detail and ability to work independently</li></ul><h3></h3><p></p><p><b>Why QBE?</b></p><p><span>Working for us.
