Senior Manager, Accounting
Intapp is seeking an experienced, initiative-taking, detail-oriented, and customer service focused Senior Manager of Accounting to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, Assistant Corporate Controller, this role will be responsible for providing leadership in managing our corporate accounting operations and will be a key contributor to the continuing growth of the Company.
As the Senior Manager of Accounting, the successful candidate will have a broad range of responsibilities involving many aspects of the monthly financial close, financial operations, and reporting. This will include supporting the Assistant Corporate Controller and the VP of Finance, Corporate Controller with global consolidations, financial analysis, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of accomplishments within rapidly growing global organizations.
What you would do:
- Lead and manage the monthly financial close including global consolidations, reconciliations, review of subsidiary reports, and preparation of the consolidated reporting package.
- Prepare, review and approval of journal entries, account reconciliations including intercompany accounts and foreign exchange related matters.
- Management of global close calendar and deliverables and lead monthly close status meetings.
- Coordinate timely and accurate monthly accounting and reporting across all company subsidiaries, both domestic and foreign.
- Support External Reporting and Technical Accounting team where needed with respect to related 10-Q/10-K disclosures and assist in assessing accounting implications including implementation of new accounting pronouncements or new business initiatives.
- Ownership of the Company’s account reconciliation repository and monthly task management tool.
- Ensure SOX compliance maintenance, documentation and testing for accounting operations business processes for areas of responsibility.
- Provide training and development to the team. Foster a team environment that encourages accountability and excellence in delivery. Attract, develop, motivate, and retain talent within those teams.
- Assist with audits, tax filings and review of supporting documentation and various analysis.
- Support external audits by providing supporting schedules, reconciliations, pulling selections and interfacing with external auditors as required.
- Partner with various department leads regularly to ensure timely and accurate accounting close process and drive improvements of various processes.
- Participate in department and inter-departmental process improvement and documentation.
- Filing or assistance in filing various state, county and city tax as well as other government filings.
- Participate/lead other ad-hoc projects as needed.
What we are looking for:
- 7-10 plus years professional finance/accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 4+ years of management experience with demonstrated strengths in managing close processes and consolidations for a multinational organization
- Public company experience strongly preferred.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- Software or SaaS company experience.
- Ability to meet stringent deadlines.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial accounting and reporting under U.S. GAAP and SOX 404(b) compliance
- Excellent communication skills, both within and across finance teams, but also with business partners (FP&A, HR, Marketing, IT, Legal, and other business leaders).
- Self-starter who is very comfortable working independently, but also works well within and across teams.
- Strong problem solving, planning, quality control, adaptability and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Process-oriented with experience in documenting processes and procedures.
- Detailed oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint software applications.
- Experience with NetSuite and Blackline applications is highly desirable.
