The PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT OF EMORY UNIVERSITY, Atlanta, GA (www.psychology.emory.edu) seeks to hire an Associate-level (or senior Assistant-level) Professor in the area of Clinical Science.

Qualifications

Successful applicants will have a Ph.D., a track record of impactful scientific contributions, and a commitment to undergraduate/graduate teaching and mentoring. We encourage applications from individuals with research programs in any area of clinical psychology or closely-related disciplines, and particularly those whose research programs intersect with the other graduate concentrations in the department (Developmental Science, Cognitive and Computational Sciences, and Behavioral and Systems Neuroscience). Regardless of research focus, all applicants must be licensed or license eligible as a clinical psychologist in the state of Georgia. Psychology at Emory is a scientific hub, with connections to researchers across Emory College, as well as the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health, the Marcus Autism Center, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The clinical science concentration is dual-accredited by APA and PCSAS; it maintains its own in-house clinic for graduate training and participant recruitment, as well as practicum sites at Grady Hospital, the Emory Clinics, and the Atlanta VA, among others. To apply, please include the following materials: 1) cover letter; 2) CV; 3) research statement that includes a description of the applicant’s research program and proposed future directions at Emory; 4) teaching statement that summarizes prior teaching experience, interests and philosophy; and 5) a brief statement (submitted as the diversity and inclusion statement in that section of the application) describing experience and vision regarding the teaching, mentoring, and support of trainees from diverse backgrounds and/or a statement of personal experiences with, and/or contributions to, issues related to social and racial justice, equity, diversity and inclusion. Items 3-5 should not exceed six pages combined. In addition, applicants should arrange to have three confidential letters of recommendation submitted on their behalf. The deadline for applications is October 19th and application review will begin on October 20th.
