Assignment Duration:
30 days spread over six months (Primarily remote with occasional in-office presence).

Scope of Work
- Provide technical and subject matter support to IOM India in carrying out remittance-related studies in India and overseas.
- Review and provide input on the finalization of the scope of work, along with the qualifications and background of the prospective research agency.
- Assist in evaluating and assessing technical and financial proposals.
- Guide the selected agency in developing and testing the study methodology, sampling framework, and survey tools.
- Review the inception report and offer constructive feedback.
- Review draft reports, provide feedback, and support the research agency with technical inputs to finalize the reports.
- Work remotely, however expected to participate in weekly progress calls with the agency on-boarded and attend in-person meetings at the IOM office as required.
Education:
University degree in Political or Social Sciences, Law and/or International Relations or a related field from an accredited academic institution with at least ten years of relevant professional experience.
Experience In:
- Experience in research, project design and formulation, management, and technical cooperation, preferably within the social development field, particularly in international remittances research
- Experience in engaging in policy dialogues, technical discussions, and regulatory consultations to enhance inclusive financial services.
- Developing evidence-based advocacy strategies and policy knowledge products for policymakers and regulators.
- Skills:
- Good Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent drafting, analytical and coordination skills.
- Fluency in English, Hindi, and other Regional Languages.
