The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship, it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.
Position title: SAP iXp Intern – BT&A Americas
Expected Start Date: December 15, 2025
Contract Duration: 6 months (potential 6 month extension)
Schedule: 40 HR/week
Role & Responsibilities

Python Development & Automation
-
Design, develop, and maintain Python scripts to automate operational tasks for the BT&A group (300+ practitioners).

Apply software engineering principles (modularity, reusability, version control with GitHub) to build scalable automation solutions.

Data Modeling & Analytics
-
Use SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for data modeling, dashboard development, and advanced reporting.

Perform data cleaning, transformation, and visualization using tools such as Python (pandas, matplotlib) and SAC modeling features.

Support performance optimization of data queries and reports.

AI & GenAI Applications

Experiment with Generative AI tools (e.g., conversational AI, SAP Joule) to design use cases that enhance team productivity.

Implement prompt engineering and fine-tuning techniques to optimize GenAI outputs for business contexts.

Explore API integration of AI services into existing processes.

Operationalization of New Processes

Contribute to the design and implementation of digital workflows that support efficiency in software delivery and reporting.

Learn and apply concepts of software lifecycle management, testing, and deployment in a real enterprise environment.

Collaboration & Agile Practices

Work with Senior and Principal architects to gather requirements, test solutions, and document best practices.

Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings (standups, sprint reviews) to understand collaborative software development

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in a related field. Graduating Seniors/2nd Year Masters highly desirable

Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Organized individual with attention to detail.

Self-starter, ability to work independently and within a team. Focused on deadlines and achieving goals.

Qualifications for the role Knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
