In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time.
To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.
We are seeking a Systems Integration & Test Engineer II to join our Engineering team in Aurora, Colorado for the role of Tech Lead for the Enterprise System Support Team on the System Readiness Product Team.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will work with cross-disciplinary team of engineers who are leading the industry in ground systems solutions.
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the team and ensuring effective communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
The role involves providing status updates, directly communicating with factory and site leads, and leading the team on daily execution of activities on a complex satellite ground system.
Lead the Enterprise System Support Team on the program, ensuring successful execution of tasks and projects.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating clear and effective communication.
Provide regular status updates to factory and site leads
Support the daily execution of activities related to a complex satellite ground system.
Ensure all team activities align with program objectives and timelines.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during system operations.
Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Work in an Agile program environment and participate in backlog grooming activities as well as program increment planning.
Work in a classified lab on site in Aurora, Colorado
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant systems integration and test experience or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in (STEM)
Experience with Hands-on Integration and Test
Experience with Technical team leadership
Experience with troubleshooting and resolving software system execution problems
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment
Experience with ground station and satellite domains (such as terrestrial data networking, command and telemetry, launch operations, flight dynamics, mission planning, on-orbit operations)
Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Experience with Test Automation (Cucumber or Gherkin)
Experience with Java, C++, or Python, Experience with Linux operating system
