At least 1 year of clinical experience in either acute care, acute rehab, or home care clinical settings is preferred; will consider new graduates with acute care or acute rehab clinical experiences.
In this role, the OT will:
• Perform examinations, development treatment plans and establish treatment goals with patient input
• Perform and apply interventions for follow-up visits
• Carry a caseload to independently manage
• Provide care to adult med/surg patients, with majority in general and complex medical, post-op orthopedics, post-op general and vascular surgery, and other areas as needed (such as ICU, Emergency Department
Candidates should have primary attributes that include:
• Strong willingness to collaborate closely with their fellow occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other members of the clinical and non-clinical care team
• Being flexible and willing to adapt to evolving requests/priorities during the workday
• Strong customer service skills
• Commitment to understand and fulfill the mission and goals of Inpatient Rehab Services and NWH as a whole

-Implement and monitor treatment plans, adjusting as needed. <br>
-Provide education to patients and their families about therapeutic activities and exercises they can do at home. <br>
-Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care. <br>
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes. <br>
-Attend staff meetings, continuing education programs, and professional development activities to stay current with new techniques and best practices. <br>

Education
Bachelor's Degree Occupational Therapy or higher required

Licenses and Credentials
Occupational Therapist [State License] - Generic - HR Only required Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
Experience
occupational therapist experience 0-1 year preferred experience in a residential/assisted living or skilled nursing facility 0-1 year preferred
