Description

Bard NYC in Williamsburg Brooklyn is seeking a highly motivated and organized Summer Program and Dormitory Assistant to join our team. As a Program Assistant, you will assist with inventory management, purchase orders, room set-up, organizing other program space, and other tasks as identified by program staff. The position offers an excellent opportunity for a young professional to gain practical experience in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

 

Responsibilities

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of program supplies, equipment, and materials
  • Conduct inventory checks to ensure stock levels are sufficient
  • Assist in ordering and restocking inventory as needed

 

Purchasing:

  • Collaborate with the team to identify required program supplies and materials
  • Assist with the procurement process, including preparing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, unpacking deliveries

 

Room Set-up:

  • Assist in preparing program spaces for events, virtual workshops, and meetings
  • Arrange furniture, equipment, and materials as per the provided guidelines
  • Ensure that rooms are organized, and ready for use for the summer and fall sessions
  • Outfitting dorm rooms for student arrival

 

Organizing Program Space Needs:

  • Maintain an organized system for storing program-related materials and equipment
  • Assist in coordinating the efficient utilization of program spaces

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Working with local printers for any upcoming projects
  • Data entry, document printing and filing and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Compensation: $20-$22/hour

This salary range reflects the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for the position at the time of the job posting. Salary decisions are dependent on several factors including but not limited to market and organizational considerations, experience, and qualifications of a selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

 

This is a part-time (20-24 hours per week) hourly summer (June-August) position available. We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment where you can develop your skills and gain valuable experience in program management and logistics.
