Role Summary

Saks Global is looking for a Sr. Manager to join the Supply Chain Team to help bring best-in-class visibility to our distribution network.  You are a leader in the Supply Chain and Logistics spaces and understand the importance of applying data to tactical and strategic decision making. You have a passion for bringing data to life to help stakeholders drive strategic initiatives faster.  This role will focus on developing robust data visibility solutions that enable deep insight into logistics, inventory, fulfillment, and supply chain performance across our retail and ecommerce operations. You will use your project management and prioritization skills to assure that visibility solutions are tailored to the most impactful areas of the business.  Your ability to build relationships with a variety of different stakeholders at different levels of the organization will help you gain insight into the most critical business needs. 

Role Description

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of end-to-end Tableau dashboards for supply chain operations, logistics, and inventory
• Write and optimize advanced SQL queries in Snowflake to extract and shape data for visualization
• Work with Saks Global’s Central Data Team to create robust data pipelines and automation scripts to push Snowflake data into Tableau
• Translate business problems into insightful and scalable data visualizations that drive operational and strategic decisions
• Project-manage new data visibility initiatives with stakeholders across different areas of Operations
• Derive data-driven insight from various data sources to support strategic initiatives within the Supply Chain Team
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and supply chain efficiency, and share insights with Senior Leadership
• Drive continuous improvement in dashboard performance, design standards, and user experience

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in analytics, BI, or data engineering roles, preferably in retail or ecommerce
• Expertise in SQL, including performance tuning and data modeling in Snowflake
• Proven track record of building interactive Tableau dashboards used by cross-functional teams
• Strong understanding of supply chain operations (e.g. logistics, warehouse management, inventory management, transportation)
• Experience working with large datasets and cloud data warehouses
• Ability to lead a small team or cross-functional project squad
• Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with Tableau Prep or other data preparation tools
• Familiarity with Tableau Server/Cloud administration and governance
• Exposure to Python scripting and Tableau REST API for automation
