Job Summary:

We are excited to invite a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare outgoing shipments by thoroughly verifying product details, quantities, and destinations to ensure accuracy.
  • Securely package items to prevent damage during transit, adhering to company packing standards and best practices.
  • Generate and affix shipping labels accurately to all packages, ensuring compliance with carrier requirements.
  • Conduct inspections of packages for damage and ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Coordinate with carriers to schedule timely pickup and delivery of shipments.
  • Monitor and update shipment status, providing customers with timely information regarding their orders.
  • Inspect incoming goods for damages or defects and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping area to promote efficiency and safety.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to foster a safe working environment.
  • Assist with various warehouse tasks as needed, including receiving shipments, managing inventory, and picking orders.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse shipping or logistics role is preferred.
  • Proficiency with shipping software and systems (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS) is advantageous.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy objects and perform various tasks in a warehouse setting.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in handling shipments.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, facilitating clear interactions with team members and customers.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
  • Certification or training in warehouse operations or forklift operation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to warehouse activities.
