The Senior Procurement Specialist - Direct Materials is responsible for leading complex Procurement projects and strategic sourcing initiatives. Working in conjunction with the Site Procurement Manager this role conducts high-level negotiations with key Suppliers and manages long-term contracts. This role involves working closely with Global Procurement Organization (GPO), Site Operations, Business Unit Leadership, and critical stakeholders to lead site-level initiatives for supplier management, supplier quality, and supplier performance improvement, while supporting global Procurement initiatives.
This is a full-time on-site salaried position. Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

The Role:
- Negotiate complex supply agreements with vendors to improve commercial conditions and service levels
- Develop supplier strategy methodology based on historical usage and forecast/BOM
- Responsible for escalating material supply issues to minimize the impact of supplier shortages
- Ensure suppliers adhere to the Terms & Conditions specified on purchase orders and resolve challenges
- Develop and implement Procurement guidelines on-site and contribute to local deployment
- Develop Site Procurement Policies and Procedures
- Develop and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Other duties as assigned
The Candidate:
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, or comparable disciplines, Master’s Degree is preferred
- Industry certifications a plus
- Must have 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in Procurement or comparable function
- Strong analytical skills including financial management and metrics is preferred
- Proven track record of engaging stakeholders to develop and implement procurement strategies is required
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resources Planning software and procurement systems is preferred
