Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swimming Instructor (independent contractor) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in aquatic activities. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for educating individuals of all ages on swimming techniques, water safety.
Responsibilities
- Teach kids swimming lessons. (Ages 6 months – 18 years)
- Teach adult private lessons. (18 +).
- Can follow lesson plans and aquatic protocols.
- Has good social and time management skills.
- Responsible. Positive Attitude. Patient.
- Passionate about teaching youth and adults swimming skills and water safety.
- Monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
Pay and Additional Details:
- Instructors will retain 80% of the lesson fees charged to members.
- This is a 1099 independent contractor role. Taxes and insurance are the responsibility of the instructor.
- Schedule is flexible and based on instructor availability and member demand.
- All instructors must comply with club policies and uphold the values of the club community.
Requirements
• Previous experience as a swim instructor, lifeguard, or swim team coach
• Certification in lifeguarding or water safety instruction (WSI preferred)
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
• Background in swimming
• Ability to be consistent and commitment to teaching each swim session.
• Must be physically capable of performing swimming-related tasks effectively.
• Must provide proof of individual liability insurance prior to starting.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States as a 1099 contractor.
