Salary / Hourly Rate: $85k - $105k / year

Job Summary:

The Outpatient Clinical Director oversees all clinical operations for our Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient (OP) programs. This position is responsible for supervising therapists, optimizing programming, and maintaining clinical excellence across all levels of outpatient care. The Director leads with integrity and compassion, ensuring both staff and clients are supported with professionalism and purpose. This role serves as the foundation of the outpatient clinical team—elevating care quality, building staff confidence, and aligning programming with Horizon’s mission and values.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide weekly individual supervision for all outpatient therapists
• Facilitate bi-weekly group supervision for outpatient clinical staff
• Support professional development and offer feedback and mentorship
• Lead design and ongoing refinement of PHP and IOP treatment models
• Evaluate client experience, group quality, and clinical outcomes regularly
• Adapt group schedules, therapy frameworks, and staffing to meet evolving needs
• Oversee integration of Vista Outcome Research tools into clinical workflows
• Train staff in using clinical outcome data to guide treatment planning
• Apply outcomes analysis to strengthen clinical efficacy and program credibility
• Conduct weekly treatment team meetings for PHP and IOP teams
• Promote accountability and a compassionate, supportive clinical culture
• Foster strong communication and morale within the outpatient team
• Collaborate with residential, admissions, and administrative departments
• Manage clinical schedules to ensure staffing coverage for all outpatient levels
• Assist Executive Director in hiring and retaining top-tier clinical talent

Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
• Active and unrestricted independent license in Arizona (LPC, LCSW, LMFT)
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical supervision or leadership experience in behavioral health
• Familiarity with PHP, IOP, and outpatient treatment structures
• Experience with CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and family systems models
• Excellent written documentation and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• High ethical standards with commitment to quality improvement
• Ability to motivate and empower team members professionally
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Must pass background check if required
• Must possess or be eligible for a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
