As a member of the Credit and Financing team, the Agriculture Lending Officer will oversee input financing for all business east of the rockies. They will support the objectives of the Credit and Financing Department through promoting customer financing programs and offerings for the enterprise to achieve an increase in financing volume, contribute to the financial success of Wilbur-Ellis Company, and enhance customer satisfaction. This role will also work with all business lines and key accounts across the enterprise to offer financing solutions that benefit the customer as well as Wilbur-Ellis. Key objectives will include working with sales and customers in promoting and growing financing and sales finance.

A Sample of What You'll Do in this Role:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with financing key accounts

  • Travel to meet with Sales staff and key accounts to promote financing offerings across the country

  • Prepare presentations and training materials for Sales and Operations Staff regarding financing offerings

  • Work with Sales staff and key accounts to assess their needs, address concerns, and provide solutions that meet their objectives.

  • Manage customer financing negotiations, renewals, and pricing discussions in collaboration with the sales team and the Sr. Commercial Lending Manager.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver timely solutions.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Credit teams to provide feedback and insights from financing customers, contributing to the development of new products/services.

  • Compiling and providing monthly reports and analysis on the status and trends of the portfolio for the area to Credit leadership and geographical leaders and management
     

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills to small and large groups

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Ag-related field or equivalent work experience required

  • 5 – 7 years of agricultural lending experience or agricultural sales finance experience

  • Willingness to travel and be away from home up to 30% of the work week

  • Proficiency in all aspects of customer financing, specifically related to the Agribusiness industry

  • Detailed understanding of the Agribusiness industry and its business drivers, metrics, organizational linkages and customer value

  • Ability to balance the customer’s financing requests with the commercial needs to drive business revenue

  • Demonstrated skills in working across geographies and functions

  • Solid skill in managing present-day issues while providing insights and recommendations for the future

  • Ability to leverage company-wide external relationships related to customer financing

  • Strong customer service focus with a continuous improvement orientation

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs
